Kenny’s Wollen Mills is a family-run business that sells quality Irish gifts to visitors. It’s situated in the seaside town of Lahinch on the charming northwest coast of County Clare, and is run by Carmel Kenny – a patron of the arts in North Clare. The types of goods on sale are largely art and crafts pieces, with a range of crystal, pottery, china, fashions and jewellery on offer. The shop operates on a full time basis in order to accommodate visitors and locals alike in the Lahinch area.
The building also houses The Lahinch Art Gallery, which exhibits works by local artists and has an emphasis on Irish subjects. The Gallery itself is the fulfillment of Mrs Kenny’s desire to provide an outlet for aspiring Irish artists, many of whom feature in her personal art collection.
