Durty Nelly's
Countyclare
One of Ireland's most famous pubs abounds in history and character that dates back to 1620; there are many pubs which have copied Durty Nelly’s, but there is only one original and that is positioned in the beautiful town of Bunratty, overshadowed by the 15th century castle. The pub and restaurant has become so popular in recent years that they even have a clothes range to endorse the brand further. The bar and restaurant is spacious, and on a pleasant day or mild evening the beer garden comes alive and local musicians showcase their talents. Unique features inside include a pull your own pint bar to master the techniques essential for the perfect Guinness.
A total of three bars can be found inside Nelly’s; the local bar is populated with the friendly inhabitants of Bunratty who love a good sing song; the main bar has more of a multi cultural ambiance with visitors from every corner of the globe sharing a beverage together; and the sports bar shows a combination of Irish sports including hurling and Gaelic football, and also major sporting events. Food can be ordered from any of the bars. An oyster restaurant is located downstairs and serves a variety of traditional meat and fish dishes from the a la carte menu. Upstairs the Loft restaurant is more of a formal dining experience, decorated beautifully in rustic charm.
Opening times: Monday - Thursday 10:30 AM - 11:30 PM; Friday & Saturday 10:30 AM - 12:30 AM; Sunday 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM
