There are many mobile companies and coverage is good across the county. You should receive a text from the provider nearest to you offering their service. If you are unable to access the network simply ask at reception. Similarly restaurants, bars, and the local McDonalds (Ennis and Shannon) all offer free WIFI. Internet access is high speed but can be difficult to get reception in the more remote areas.Newspapers - The national newspapers are The Irish Examiner, The Irish Independent and The Irish Times. All UK tabloids such as The Star, The Sun and The Mirror are also available as are UK broadsheets. These papers are called The Irish Star etc but mostly have the same content as the UK editions. Local newspapers include the Clare Champion and the Clare People. If you rally want to find out what is happening in County Clare have a look at the local papers. The Clare People can be purchased on Tuesdays and The Clare Champion on Thursdays.Television - Most bars/restaurants have a television and as Ireland is a sports mad country there always seems to be sport of some sort on at all times. The main domestic channels are RTE 1, RTE 2, TV3 and the Irish language Channel TG4. BBC 1 and 2, ITV are also available as are all the Sky channels.Radio - The main local radio stations in County Clare include Clare FM and Spin South West. National radio stations include 2fm and Today fm. Clare FM carry a local diary and its a great source of what is on in the county.
