Spend a day out at the Aillwee Burren Experience located in the heart of the Burren Region of County Clare and enjoy everything that this attraction has to offer.
Start with a tour of one of the oldest caves in Ireland, Aillwee Cave. Follow an expert guide as they walk you through the ancient underground landscape and learn about the brown bear bones located here.
After the cave tour, feel free to explore the rest of the activities on offer here, including the Birds of Prey Centre. Check out one of the daily interactive flying displays and learn about the centre's conservation efforts.
Make the most of your time in this picturesque location and embark on a hike through the mature, eight-acre holly, ash, and hazel woodlands. The hiking trail is suitable for all fitness levels and offers visitors the chance to explore the grounds on their own.
Once you've worked up an appetite, head to the Farm Shop – home of Burren Gold cheese. Learn how the cheese is made and sample different varieties, from young and creamy to very mature.
And if sweets are more your thing, the Farm Shop also offers a wonderful range of fudge, including specialties like Chocolate Mint Swirl, Atlantic Sea Salt Caramel, and Burren Crunch. Purchase some to take home with you or sit down to enjoy some with a cup of coffee.
