East Clare Golf Club
At the East Clare Golf Club get involved with some affordable golfing at this friendly and welcoming members club. A new clubhouse was established on the grounds in 2001 which boasts splendid vistas from the bar, restaurant and balcony overlooking the beautiful 18 hole championship golf course, abundant surrounding countryside and further afield, the spectacular hills of County Clare.
Interestingly, the stones in the wall garden which enclose the clubhouse originate from Coolreaghbeg castle. Indeed, history and golfing is somewhat intertwined in East Clare with the sport dating back to the early twentieth century in this region of Ireland.
A new accommodation development has also recently been introduced next to the clubhouse garden, while the local area possesses a variety of activities from cruising, to water sports, horse riding, to fishing, to hiking and more.
