Doolin has a fine reputation of producing some of the finest traditional music to come out of Ireland. Gus O Connors has become famous for being a venue for local musicians to perform in since it first opened in 1832, and this has spread around Ireland and into international boarders. The pub is always characterised by its lively atmosphere, especially in the summer months when live music plays on a daily basis starting at 9pm and finishing in the early hours. Famous musicians that have played here include Davey Spillane and Sharon Shannon.
The food is another great reason to visit Gus O Connors, where they serve excellent hearty cuisine at reasonable prices. The menu comprises of appetising starters such as seafood chowder, deep fried brie, and king prawns in filo pastry.
