Gus O Connors has become famous for being a venue for local musicians to perform in since it first opened in 1832, and this has spread around Ireland and into international boarders. The pub is always characterised by its lively atmosphere, especially in the summer months when live music plays on a daily basis starting at 9pm and finishing in the early hours. Famous musicians that have played here include Davey Spillane and Sharon Shannon.
