Tour Highlights Taking in “The Ancient East” and “The wild Atlantic way” a laidback atmosphere, with as much or as little activity as you wish, visiting all the key attractions below and so much more! Day 1 Glendalough one time home to St Kevin and an 11th century university of Christianity. Wicklow Mountains, Down to Kilkenny castle home of the Smithwicks Experience. first overnight in the medieval city of Kilkenny, Day 2 The Rock of Cashel or St Patricks rock, home to the High Kings of Ireland, from here to the immigration hub of Irish history 'Cobh' also last pot of call for the Titanic. Not for the faint hearted but we have an oppurtunity to kiss the Blarney Stone before overnight in the bustling city of Cork. Day 3 This is our journey to some of the most beautiful scenic parts of the Southwest of Ireland, Gougane Barra smallest church in the heart of a lake, on to the ‘Irish Riviera’, Glengarriff retirement village for Maureen O Hara, the Caha pass a picturesque mountain drive between Cork and Kerry, Kenmare, Highlights of The Ring of Kerry Molls gap, the lakes of Killarney, torc waterfall including the National Park. Overnight in Killarney one of two, the best town in Ireland for music, Dance food and drink. Day 4, Put your watch back 5000 years and today we visit Dingle, Inch Beach known locally as Surf city, Slea Head drive to see the prehistoric Bee Hive huts houses constructed from stone and dwelling for some of the first people to live on the island, home to many a Hollywood movie over the years, most recently Star wars came to town, again some of the most talked about stunning scenery in Ireland. Day 5, Today we travel back up the country to the West of Ireland, visiting Adare chocolate box of a town, famous for its main street lined with thatched cottages, The Cliffs of Moher Irelands no 1 attraction for visitors from overseas, The Burren taking a coastal drive along the Atlantic coast to Galway. The city of tribes will be our overnight, a lively city for your final night with music in every bar, cobbled streets and fabulous restaurants. Day 6, Today we make our way cross country with a visit to Joe Joyce’s sheep farm for a demo, Joe Lives in a Beautiful part of Connemara, Joe's claim to fame is being part of the movie 'Marley and Me' Joe organised the sheep traffic jam on the trip to Ireland, lunch in Athlone, home to Sean’s bar oldest pub in Ireland going back to 900AD then Kilbeggan Distillery the oldest licenced distillery in the country for a tasting before we head back to Dublin to part ways. with memories to last a life time.
