Bofey Quinns
Countyclare
A traditional family run restaurant and bar in the village of Corofin that is situated 8 miles outside of Ennis. There is a focus on quality ingredients to create classic Irish dishes such as their bacon and cabbage Irish stew and an appetising choice of fresh seafood and meats. Every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 pm there is traditional Irish music sessions that play throughout the year and are popular with both the locals, and tourist customers. During the week the clientele is usually populated with tourists but on a Saturday night the local punters are out in full force, and are happy to socialise with visitors to their village.
The atmosphere is lively, but the surroundings have a homely feel of comfortable seating, and a warming open fireplace. The owners are a married couple; the husband is the head chef and the wife is the head waitress, delivering excellent food and sublime service. The menu is simple but effective in serving large portions that are great value for money. In particular their home made burgers are a favourite among diners, and also their rich and creamy seafood chowder is ideal on a dark and dreary day to boost your morale. The owners will happily arrange accommodation for you if necessary, and suggest the most iconic place to visit in and around Corofin.
Opening times: Open daily, restaurant 12:00 PM - 09:30 PM
