Burren Birds of Prey and Educational Centre

Hawks, eagles, vultures and falcons are just some of the magnificent birds of prey you will encounter at the Burren Birds of Prey and Educational Centre, located at Aillwee Cave in Ballyvaughan.
Huge emphasis is placed on education and awareness of these beautiful birds - some of which are part of the World Wide Breeding Programme of rare and endangered species.
Sea eagles, owls, falcons and buzzards take part in superb flight displays over the surrounding hills.
Flying displays are from 12 noon onwards. Also, from 2pm to 3pm there is some additional displays during the summer months. Flying displays are subject to weather conditions.
You can also try the unique experience of hawk walks in the Burren. Learn how to release and call your hawk back. It is a 45 minute experience where you can experience the thrill of watching this beautiful bird soar into the air and demonstrate its thrilling manoeuvrability and its dashing speed.
