You’re invited to experience the thrill and excitement of surfing at Lahinch Surf School.
Based at the beach hut on Laninch promenade, former Irish surf champion John McCarthy and his crew of ‘surfdude’ instructors provide a safe and fun introduction to the exhilarating art of surfing.
Whether you’re a first-timer or seasoned professional, Lahinch Surf School will have something for you, with single surf classes, weekend surf courses and private lessons all available. Each surf session is two hours long, 80-90 minutes of which is spent in the water. Equipment is provided along with a qualified Irish Surfing Association surf coach who will patiently take you through the complete surf experience. Lessons are held in waist deep water so you don't need to be an amazing swimmer.
Parties, corporate gatherings and school groups are welcomed. Opening hours and lesson times are based around the tide.
