Thomond Park Stadium

Family Activities Cultural Stadia Sport Tour

Thomond Park Stadium is home to Munster rugby. Walk into any rugby club anywhere in the world and mention rugby or Thomond Park and you will be greeted with a warm welcome.

Redeveloped and re-opened in 2008 the ground now holds 25,600 people and boasts some of the most modern corporate and conferencing facilities in Ireland.

It is famous for Munster's win over the mighty All Blacks in 1978 and the Blacks came back to launch the new grounds in 2008 and provided everything that a rugby night in Munster would want, except the win.

The new Stadium now hosts a huge variety of events from International level rugby and soccer to famous musicians like Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart and Elton John.
